Top 10 Countries With The Highest Pay for Doctors

The practice of medicine is a fulfilling one for many who come into it as a calling to serve humanity. Medical practice, however, can either greatly make you wealthy or greatly impoverish you depending on the country and region where you practice.

It is no news how financially rewarding it is to practice medicine in certain Western and Middle Eastern countries. Comparably, many doctors in Africa and Latin America struggle to feed their families. Earning a decent salary can certainly help to give you (and your family) a good quality of life! After all those years of study, exams and call duties, it would only be fair that doctors are well compensated.

There are wonderful benefits to working abroad (aside from financial reasons), including: improved professional skills, renewing passion for medicine, personal development, learning new non-medical skills, among other things.

We have reproduced this list of top ten highest paying countries for medics, courtesy of Med Alerts, and the financial remuneration that doctors can expect to receive if they work there. All salaries are shown in dollars, for comparative purposes.
